Graduate Students

Blend history and theory with creative practice and critical analysis

ATEC graduate students learn how to engage with different modes of knowledge production, different methods of analysis, different definitions of creativity, and different viewpoints on what needs doing in the world.

Students seeking an MA or MFA build on foundational skills in media studies cultural theory, and creative production to deepen expertise in an area and develop understanding in adjacent topics. These students are creative practitioners, scholars, and interdisciplinary researchers who advance their education through further study of technology and media.

Students seeking their PhD have a variety of backgrounds and demonstrate mastery in methods of research, analysis, and creative practice, informed by history, theory, and aesthetics.
