Graduate Studies

Graduate Degrees in Arts, Technology, and Emerging Communication

ATEC graduate students pursue multiple pathways of research, scholarship, and making. Our graduate programs are joined by shared principles of critical analysis and creative thinking. With an ATEC advanced degree, you are prepared to teach, analyze, and design the latest in emerging media technologies.

Our students and faculty research contemporary media and technologies in relation to their cultural, social, and historical contexts. We use this research and analysis to guide and inspire our creative practice. By merging this deep understanding of the past and the present of media and technologies with the generative exploration of creative production, we envision, innovate, and shape new media and technological futures for our communities.

To learn more about our programs, attend a Graduate Studies Overview Session. Our Academic Advisors provide an overview of our programs, the application and admissions process, funding opportunities, and answer your questions during these informative sessions.
