Director of Undergraduate Advising
Angela Scoggins, a UTD alumna twice over, began her career in higher education as a degree plan evaluator in the Registrar’s Office at UT Dallas in 2007. Before transitioning to her current role in ATEC, she held multiple roles across campus such as a School Advisor, UNIV 1010 Instructor, Director of SOAR, and most recently, she was instrumental in the establishment of the Graduation Help Desk. Her roles at the University have guided her philosophy of student success: teaching students to understand their current college context and how to overcome obstacles in order to succeed. She has presented at various conferences on effective methods of advising students, and she has been a member of various committees and participated in programming across campus.
Angela earned her BA in Historical Studies and Master of Arts in the Humanities from The University of Texas at Dallas. Angela is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Leadership and Learning in Organizations in the Vanderbilt Peabody School.
