The Lone Star Digital Memorial – A Case Study in Pervasive Displays
The Lone Star Digital Memorial installation projection maps the 5,852 individual images that comprise the digital representation of the AIDS Memorial Quilt onto a 7.5 ft. tall reinforced cardboard star. Projected at 10 frames per second, the resulting light source is a memorial to those who have died anonymously or alone throughout the ongoing history of the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
