Angela M. Lee’s research focuses on audience analysis, news media use and effects, media management, behavior prediction, and journalism ethics. Her work is often published in peer-reviewed journals, such as Communication Research, Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly, Journalism Studies, Journal of Broadcasting & Electronic Media, and Digital Journalism.
Lee has garnered mainstream attention from outlets such as The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The Dallas Morning News, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and the Nieman Journalism Lab of Harvard University. She has received a number of awards from the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, the National Communication Association, the Annett Strauss Institute for Civic Life, and The University of Texas at Austin. Currently an Assistant Professor, she holds a PhD in Journalism from UT Austin.
