Alejandra Gutiérrez

Undergraduate Academic Advisor

Alejandra (Alex) Gutiérrez was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, earning her BA in Criminal Justice and Psychology from The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) in 2013. During her undergraduate years, she worked for the Office of Admissions and Recruitment where she assisted prospective students seeking admissions to UTEP.

After earning her BA, Gutiérrez continued her education by pursuing her master’s degree while maintaining her work helping students as the academic advisor for the Criminal Justice Department at UTEP. She earned an MA in Latin American and Border Studies at UTEP in May of 2016, then joined the ATEC Advising team in 2017, where she continues focusing on her passion to help students pursue higher education.
