At ATEC, students in the Critical Media Studies area think critically about the power and influence of media with particular attention to its social impact. They learn to think critically and develop a historical understanding of how art, culture, literature, and media form and transform our densely interconnected world.
Students learn from ATEC Faculty who serve on Global committees, are honored for their excellence in the classroom, and sought across media platforms for their insight and expertise. Our faculty are cross-disciplinary thinkers who provide students with the creative and critical tools with which to analyze global cultural and socio-political contexts. Their approach prepares students to enter the workforce in a wide range of fields.
ATEC alums have become community leaders, activists, educators, writers, digital marketers, and more. Critical Media Studies students are also well prepared to continue their studies in academic graduate programs or professional programs.
