Animating hands

The following .pdf files, Chap6.pdf and Chap7.pdf, contain Chapter 6: The Hand Joints and Chapter 7: The Hand Controls of Learning Maya 6 Character Rigging and Animation.

When you create hands for your character on your own, make sure that you orient the joints in the hands (pg 144-145 in Chap6.pdf); otherwise, it would be very difficult or impossible to use IK, FK, scripting, expressions, set driven keys, skinning and flexors.
