About CGEC
Hughes Ventures, the Institute for Interactive Arts and Engineering, and the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship are proud to sponsor the UT Dallas Computer Gaming Entrepreneurship Competition.
The competition will reward students for startlingly original game concepts that are associated with a strong business plan. Student participants are encouraged to think holistically, prepare a business plan that describes a disruptively original game design, and how it will address a well-defined market. The principles of Hughes Ventures are hopeful this competition will inspire and enable UT Dallas students to produce tomorrow’s leading game designs.
Awards: $12,000 first prize, $7,000 second prize, $5000 third prize
Special Award for Excellence in Innovation: $1,000
Open to UT Dallas students from all schools and levels of study. Registration is open from September 4 to October 5.
